Maintenance-of-way is the backbone railway, and every company should have specific maintenance plan catered to their needs in order to reduce unnecessary maintenance costs while keeping the track to its best possible condition.
CYFSA has expert personnel that can provide catered strategies to each client’s maintenance needs, we have all the necessary equipment and machinery required to provide the required services, as well as the railway engineering knowledge and experience required to avoid reworks and/or corrections.

CYFSA has certified experts in expert opinions, throughout the years we have carried out countless expert opinions, among which the following stand out:

Chiapas-Mayab Railroad

A survey of more than 1000 miles of track was carried out to find out the track infrastructure’s current status, define elements to be corrected and improved and design the necessary maintenance plan required to bring the tracks to a Class 1 railway.

Tren Suburbano (CDMX)

CYFSA carried out works of supervision, reviewing and authorization for the construction process of the suburban train from Buenavista station to Cuautitlán station in CDMX.

About Us

June 1st of 1959 Constructora y Ferroviaria S.A. is created by the Engineer Alberto Orozco Cosío who before starting CYFSA worked as a Principal Engineer in Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México.

In 1980 Jaime Toranzo joins CYFSA to continue and expand services to private companies and Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México for all railway services including: drainage, bridges, level crossings, earthworks, etc.

In 2010 Meng. Diego Toranzo joins CYFSA (Meng. In Railway engineering, MSc. BIM Management for civil engineering, infrastructure and GIS and MSc. In international business) expanding CYFSA’s projects division and complementing the company with knowledge in design software such as Infraworks, Civil3D,Revit, Microstation, Bentley Openrail, ISTRAM, etc. as well as expert opinions, project management, etc. Combining technical knowledge with operations and management knowledge to pursue stable and continuous growth for the company.

To this day CYFSA continues actively working for private companies and the main railroad such as KCSM and Ferromex.
